West Bromwich Albion are interested in snapping up Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle again, after it seemed hope had been lost.

West Bromwich Albion fans are excited over rumours that Dwight Gayle could return from Newcastle United.
West Brom had Gayle on loan from Newcastle last season, and he finished the campaign as their top scorer.
It seemed that any chance West Brom had of landing Gayle on a permanent deal were over earlier this summer, much to the disappointment of the Hawthorns crowd.
The rumours have excited the Albion crowd, who are now desperate to see Gayle back.
If West Brom could re-sign Gayle they would effectively guarantee themselves at least 20 goals next season.
When Gayle stays fit, he is deadly at Championship level, and he is a very popular figure at the Hawthorns.
West Brom may have to wait to find out whether they have been successful in their pursuit of Gayle though, as Newcastle don’t want to discuss the striker’s future until Rafael Benitez’s contract is sorted out.
