The transfer window is open, and Saido Berahino did not miss a chance to start impressing for West Bromwich Albion’s under-23 side.

Saido Berahino did his future prospects no harm at all last night by scoring twice for the club in their under-23 draw with Aston Villa.

Berahino was the only over age player on the pitch and made his experience count as he worked his way back to fitness.

The former England under-21 striker netted two goals to help his side out as they shared the spoils in an entertaining 3-3 draw.

The timing could not be better, with Berahino subject of interest from clubs with the transfer window open.

The Sun reported that Glasgow Rangers are eyeing a move for the forward, while bookies SkyBet have Stoke City followed by West Ham United as favourites for his signature.

The striker has played only four Premier League matches this season for the Baggies, failing to score.

His contract expires at the end of the season, and if West Brom were looking to cash in on him this transfer window, his goals last night will have done everybody concerned no harm, also increasing the confidence of potential buyers that he is worth shelling out for.
