West Bromwich Albion are said to be keen to sign Romaine Sawyers from Brentford this summer.

West Bromwich Albion fans appear to be behind the rumours that Romaine Sawyers could return to the Hawthorns this summer.

According to the Telegraph, West Brom have made a bid for Brentford playmaker Sawyers, as Darren Moore looks to improve his side’s attack.

And West Brom fans are eager to Sawyers brought back to Albion, where he started his career.

Sawyers was sold by West Brom back in 2013, when he went to join Walsall and he has thrived after gaining more first-team experience.

Sawyers impressed in League One with Walsall before moving to Brentford, and establishing himself as a valuable weapon at Championship level.

If Sawyers was to move to West Brom he would be one of their most creative options in midfield.

The 26-year-old possesses a great weight of pass and can beat defenders through pure skill.

And if he did return to West Brom it seems that Sawyers would be given a great welcome by supporters at the Hawthorns.
