Burke was brought on at half-time for the Baggies, as Alan Pardew’s side looked to get back into the match.
West Brom had shown signs of promise in the first-half of the contest at Stamford Bridge, but went in at the break 1-0 down.
Burke was then thrown on to increase Pardew’s side’s attacking threat, but he failed to have much of an impact.
The wide-man did not impress, as West Brom fell to a 3-0 defeat, which leaves them seven points away from safety.
It was a rare opportunity for Burke to impress, but Baggies fans have slated the youngster’s display.
Burke has been kept on the substitutes’ bench for much of his time since signing from Red Bull Leipzig, and his display last night will have done little to convince Pardew that he is ready for a starting place.
West Brom are next in league action against Huddersfield Town, which already looks like a must-win match for Pardew’s side.
