Tosin Adarabioyo has suggested to The Times that he will leave West Bromwich Albion and return to Manchester City when his loan spell at The Hawthorns ends at the end of the season.

Adarabioyo joined Championship club West Brom on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club in the summer of 2018.

The 21-year-old defender has made 21 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Championship for the Baggies this season, providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

The former England Under-19 international – who earns £30,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has suggested that he will return to his parent club City when his loan spell at the Baggies ends.

Adarabioyo told The Times: “I decided to stay and try to fight for a place and Phil has done the same and it’s going well for him.

“There are just different pathways and I am just trying my best to get into that City first team, because that’s what I really want to achieve. We will evaluate in the coming season but Pep said definitely, if I go out and do what I need to do, then I will be in his plans.”

Promising defender

Adarabioyo is a very talented and promising young defender who has done well during his loan spell at West Brom.

It is going to be hard for the 21-year-old defender to establish himself in Pep Guardiola’s City starting lineup next season, but if he has a good pre-season and works hard, then he could play a role.
