West Bromwich Albion want Carlos Corberan as their new manager just months after he was linked with a Leeds United return.
The Baggies are hunting for yet another new manager having sacked Steve Bruce on Monday morning.
A dismal start to the season – with just one win in 13 Championship games – has seen Bruce go the same way as predecessor Valerian Ismael.
West Brom have struggled to settle with a manager of late and they are now hunting for the ‘right man’ once again.

A number of names are already being linked and Corberan is one of the early contenders for the job.
The Mirror report that Corberan is ‘the early front runner’ for the West Brom role as CEO Ron Gourlay attempts to build a shortlist.
Corberan, 39, dragged Huddersfield Town into the Championship play-off final last season but ultimately lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.
The Spaniard had Huddersfield punching well above their weight and he ended up deciding to quit over the summer.
Corberan headed to Greece with Olympiacos but was sacked after just seven weeks in the job having won only twice in 11 games.
Now available again, you can be sure that Corberan will be heavily linked with many Championship jobs after last season’s exploits.
West Brom are now looking into bringing Corberan back to England mere months after a Leeds return was touted.
Corberan joined Leeds as Under-23 boss in June 2017 and stepped up to become first-team coach under Marcelo Bielsa just a year later.
Huddersfield poached Corberan in July 2020 but Leeds considered him for a return to the club earlier this year as they explored post-Bielsa options.
Ernesto Valverde and Jesse Marsch were also mentioned in The Telegraph’s report, and we know now that Marsch landed the job.
Corberan still seems very highly rated at Leeds and amid questions over Marsch after five games without a win, West Brom may be wise to move quickly for the exciting young Spaniard.
