West Bromwich Albion boss Slaven Bilic has told Leeds Live that Leeds United fans were very impressive last night.

Leeds managed to beat West Brom 1-0, as West Brom tasted defeat for the first time over the course of the season.

And Bilic felt that the Leeds supporters in attendance at Elland Road really gave their side a boost.

“They have a good, aggressive crowd,” he said. “They put pressure on the referee. You know Leeds and Elland Road across Europe. It affects you.

“First half they were better. Opportunities when we were going at them. Excellent in the second half. Just missing luck, quality in the final decision.”

Leeds scored their only goal of the game in the first half through Gianni Alioski.

The full-back raced forward from defence and lashed home via a deflection.

Both sides had their chances in the second half, but Leeds held firm to deny West Brom and move back to the top of the Championship table.

Leeds’ next game comes against Millwall, while West Brom take on Cardiff City.
