The West Bromwich Albion defender has returned to the League Two club on loan.
West Bromwich Albion defender Kane Wilson has rejoined League Two side Exeter City on loan for the rest of the season in a deal that should be beneficial for all parties.
The 17-year-old defender is a fine prospect and will now be given the opportunity to develop further at Exeter, as reported by BBC Sport.
An England U18 international, Wilson produced some encouraging performances for Exeter in the first half of the season as he made some precisely-timed challenges.
Usually deployed as a right-back, he also received some playing time as a right wing-back and demonstrated that he poses a major attacking threat in addition to being an impressive performer defensively.
Wilson has made just one competitive senior appearance for West Brom so far, which came against Northampton Town in the EFL Cup last season, but, given the potential that he possesses, it is likely that he will add significantly to that tally in due course.
The youngster’s loan at Exeter is hugely beneficial for his development and it is hoped that he will return to West Brom next season ready to make an impact in the first-team in some capacity.
