The Bournemouth man would surely be viewed as an underwhelming signing for West Bromwich Albion by their fans.

West Brom’s reported pursuit of the 29-year-old reeks of a lack of ambition, and symbolises the manner in which Pulis has gone about his business during his time in charge of the Black Country outfit.
The Republic of Ireland international is a solid performer, of that there is no doubt, but there is not much that he would bring to the Baggies that would help them progress as a club.
There has to come a pint where Pulis spends some serious money in an effort to bring genuine progress to the Hawthorns, rather than just playing it safe season after season.
Stagnation will soon set in at West Brom, if it hasn’t done already, and there is a genuine danger that the Baggies fans will become bored and disillusioned with life under Pulis.
There is plenty of time left this summer for the the West Brom boss to improve his squad further still, but he would be best served in avoiding a move for Wilson, and focus on making signings more befitting of a team challenging for a place inside the top half of the Premier League table.
