West Bromwich Albion’s Jonny Evans has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Everton and West Ham United.

According to the Mirror, the Hammers are lining up a move for West Brom ace Jonny Evans at the end of the season, who could be available for just £3 million, if the Baggies get relegated to the Championship.
The 30-year-old is a top-class performer, and is widely considered to be one of the top flight’s most consistent defenders.
Evans would be an exceptional addition to the West Ham squad, but would they be fighting a losing battle by attempting to bring him to the London Stadium?
The Hammers’ Premier League status is far from secure, with just three points currently separating them from the drop zone, and even if they do manage to avoid relegation, surely Evans would be wary of joining a club who always seem to be on the verge of relegation trouble.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal, Everton and Leicester are all interested in signing the Baggies ace, and it could be argued that all three of those clubs are more attractive prospects than West Ham.
Evans’ future at the Hawthorns will heavily depend on West Brom’s ability to avoid the drop this season, but the Hammers should be lining up more realistic targets nevertheless, rather than face ultimate disappointment in the transfer market by aiming too high.
The Northern Ireland international has proven his class over a number of years, and with Arsenal and Everton keeping tabs on him, West Ham should cut their losses before raising their fans’ expectations ahead of the new season.
