Burnley should consider a move for the West Bromwich Albion winger.
Burnley performed magnificently in the Premier League last season, but the hard work begins now for Sean Dyche, with the transfer window open for business.
The Clarets need to sufficiently bolster their ranks this summer, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of improving upon last season’s seventh placed finish in the table.
One particular area where Dyche will want to strengthen is his wide attacking department, with more competition required for the likes of Aaron Lennon and Robbie Brady.
With this in mind, Burnley should consider a move for West Brom winger James McClean, who could be available for around £6 million this summer, according to the Derby Telegraph.
Despite the £120 million windfall that the Clarets received for their seventh placed finish last term, they still have to cut their cloth accordingly, and the £6 million signing of the 59-capped Republic of Ireland international would be the kind of bargain that Dyche absolutely loves.
McClean is an incredibly hard worker, and can operate on either flank. His determination, tenacity and team ethic would see him slot perfectly into Dyche’s setup at Turf Moor.
The 29-year-old is incredibly experienced in playing at the highest level, having spent spells with Sunderland, Wigan Athletic and West Brom, and his nouse and understanding of top flight football could prove to be vital to Burnley.
In today’s day and age, £6 million for someone with McClean’s ability represents fantastic business, and if Dyche manages to bring him to Turf Moor, it could turnout to be a signing of real significance for the Clarets.
