West Bromwich Albion midfielder Darren Fletcher has said he is not sure if he will be fit for Scotland’s next game after sustaining an injury.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Darren Fletcher has been ever consistent for club and country so far this season, captaining both sides as he continues to lead by example.
Unfortunately, a supposedly severe dead leg could be set to keep him out of his nation’s tie with Slovakia after he sustained the injury against Lithuania.
As reported by the Birmingham Mail, Fletcher has spoken about the injury and whether or not he thinks he will be able to play on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old’s dead leg came during a disappointing 1-1 draw against Lithuania, in a game which saw the former Manchester United midfielder register his 75th cap for Scotland.
“It feels pretty bad,” he admitted after the game.

“It’s a dead leg quite high up. I struggled in the last 10 minutes of the first half and it seized right up when I stopped running at half-time.
“Sometimes you can be brave and go back out but there was no point in me going out there and struggling in such a big game. It’s disappointing to have to come off.
“It’s too early to tell if I’ll be ready for midweek. I’ll have loads of ice on it but dead legs are the worst in the first few days so we’ll see how it goes.”

After being replaced at half time, the Scotsman’s injury was initially believed to be an issue with his thigh.
The bigger worry for Baggies fans will be that Fletcher may not be fit in time for the return of the Premier League. In their first game following the international break, Pulis’ side will host in-form Tottenham Hotspur in what could prove to be a vital clash.
