Furlong joined West Bromwich Albion from Queens Park Rangers in July.

Darnell Furlong says he was ‘all for’ leaving Queens Park Rangers once interest from West Bromwich Albion materialised.
Furlong came through the ranks at QPR – the club at which his father, Paul, gained legendary status as a striker.
But the right-back was prised away from the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium ahead of the current campaign, costing West Brom a reported fee of around £1.5 million.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the Baggies’ game at Stoke on Monday – where Slaven Bilic’s side will return to the Championship summit with a win – Furlong was asked about his move.
“It was quite a quick one really,” the 24-year-old said. “I didn’t know too much about it in advance. I just got a call to say there was a bit of interest and that they were looking to get something done. As soon as it came up I was all for it, I was really looking forward to it. West Brom is a club you can’t really turn down playing for.”
Asked if it was difficult to leave behind his father, who coaches QPR’s Under-18s, Furlong replied: “Yeah, definitely. it was tough to say goodbye. But it’s part of football and you have to move on sometimes.”

Furlong played the full game as West Brom beat QPR at his former club’s ground in late September.
The R’s are currently ninth in the Championship, two points off the play-offs.
