Here are a few to look out for:
Milan Skriniar (Slovakia)
With Jonas Olsson looking set to leave the Hawthorns in the summer, Albion will need a talented left-sided defender to fill the Swede’s big shoes. Sampdoria defender Skriniar might be the ideal replacement.
According to The Daily Mail, Tony Pulis travelled to watch the versatile defender in his side’s 1-0 defeat to Juventus on Sunday. The 22-year-old has featured 27 times for his club this season, helping to secure wins over Roma, AC Milan and Genoa in recent months.
If the rumours are true, Pulis will surely be tuning in to watch Skriniar in Slovakia’s game against Malta on Sunday night.
Duvan Zapata (Columbia)
The Serie A forward received his first international call-up last week after scoring in three consecutive games for Udinese.
Zapata (on-loan from Napoli) is drawing interest from the Baggies – according to TuttoMercatoWeb – with Salomon Rondon and Hal Robson-Kanu the only senior strikers in Pulis’ squad.
The 25-year-old could add some value to his transfer tag if he carries on his goal-scoring form against Bolivia on Thursday and Ecuador on Tuesday.
Fabian Schar (Switzerland)
Schar is another international defender that could be on West Brom’s radar in the summer.
Back in December, The Mirror reported that Albion were locked in a battle with Southampton to secure the Hoffenheim centre-back’s signature. The 25-year-old has a reputation for being a threat at set pieces which would make him a useful addition to Pulis’ side.
After recovering from a tear in his abductor muscle, Schar is in line to play a part in Switzerland’s World Cup qualifier with Latvia on Saturday.
