West Bromwich Albion target Joe Ledley commented on current Baggies boss Tony Pulis when he joined him at Crystal Palace in 2014.

The Daily Star has recently suggested that West Brom are alongside Aston Villa and Derby County in the running to sign former Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley following his release from the Eagles this summer.
While he may perhaps be interested in a move to one of the Championship pair if he feels that they could offer him more first-team football, his comments from 2014 about current Baggies boss Tony Pulis drop the slightest hint that he would struggle to turn down a move to the Hawthorns (via BBC Sport).
It was Pulis who brought Ledley to Palace from Celtic in the latter stages of the summer window three years ago, and he suggested that linking up with his countryman was an important reason why he left the Scottish Premiership giants.
“He tried to sign me at Stoke and it didn’t happen and I am delighted to be working with him now as he’s a fantastic manager,” he said, as reported by BBC Sport.

Not only do the comments hint that Ledley would find it difficult to reject a move to the Baggies, but they also provide a major hint as to how hard Pulis may be trying to bring him in this summer, having tried to sign him twice before, succeeding when he was in charge at Palace.
West Brom certainly need to bolster their options in the middle of the park after losing Darren Fletcher to Stoke City earlier in the window, and with Ledley now a free agent, his arrival would not hurt his transfer funds too much at all – if he is able to win the race for the Wales international’s signature.
