West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon is reportedly on the radar of Cardiff City in the Premier League.

According to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 16:09, Sunday, May 27, 2018), West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon’s wage demands could prove to a stumbling block for Cardiff City.

Earlier this month, The Daily Mail reported that Cardiff are interested in signing Rondon from West Brom in the summer transfer window.

It was reported that the 28-year-old striker’s relegation release clause is at set £16.5 million, and that the Bluebirds are planning to make an offer of £12m plus add-ons.

The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 16:09, Sunday, May 27, 2018) has claimed that Cardiff, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, want to sign the Venezuela international striker, but his wage demands could prove to be a problem, with Spotrac.com reporting that the former Zenit Saint Petersburg star earns £60,000 per week as salary.

Good signing for Cardiff City?

Playing for a Tony Pulis team as a striker is not easy, and one can understand why Rondon has not been prolific for West Brom in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old striker, though, is very experienced and is a very good player, and he could score 10 to 15 goals in the Premier League for the Bluebirds if played to his strengths.
