Gayle has been in excellent form for West Brom since joining on loan from Newcastle.

Jay Rodriguez has told West Bromwich Albion’s official website that he is very fond of Newcastle United loanee Dwight Gayle, as the two continue to bang in the goals for Darren Moore’s side.
Gayle, 28, scored his 14th of the season on Saturday afternoon as the Baggies held Norwich City to a 1-1 draw in a top-of-the-table clash. Gayle has reached that tally in just 22 league games.
The Newcastle loanee has also created six more strikes in assists and has surpassed England international Rodriguez by one, with the ex-Southampton ace sitting on 13 goals from 27 games.
Speaking to West Brom’s website, Rodriguez spoke of his admiration for Gayle and discussed the banter between both players over the similar goal tallies.
“Honestly, he’s not stopped,” Rodriguez said when asked if he gets any ‘stick’ from Gayle. “No, it’s really good banter between us. I love him to bits, as a guy and as a player, he’s a great guy to have.
“His finishes in training and obviously in games – there’s no luck there – it’s what he’s about. I’m happy for him, at the time it was an important goal. But he always gives me stick, that’s just Dwight.”

Gayle joined West Brom in a deal that saw Venezuela international Salomon Rondon move in the opposite direction. The powerhouse striker has scored six goals for Newcastle in the Premier League this season.
It remains to be seen if Gayle will be a permanent addition at West Brom, as he continues to impress with the Midlands club. The Baggies sit in fourth place, seven points behind leaders Leeds United.
