The Algerian would be an excellent signing for West Bromwich Albion.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is looking to strengthen his squad further still ahead of this season’s Premier League campaign, but it could be hard for him to attract players of sufficient quality, with prices for even average players sky rocketing this summer.
With this in mind, Pulis will have to be smart in his player recruitment, and could possibly target the free agent market, in order to get real value for West Brom.
A useful option for them could be Rachid Ghezzal, who is available on free transfer following his release from Lyon.
Rachid Ghezzal in action
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is a real talent, and the quality that he possesses would surely prove to be a major asset to the Black Country outfit.
The Algerian has wonderful technique, and his eye for a killer pass would make a huge difference to the Baggies’ potency in the final third.
Ghezzal is also hugely versatile, and can play anywhere along the front-line – something that would undoubtedly appeal to Pulis, with such a long and physically demanding campaign ahead for his side.
His experience in playing at the very highest level for such a sustained period of time with Lyon, despite his relatively tender years, would certainly add a certain kind of winning mentality to the West Brom side.
And his availability on a free makes a move for the Algeria international a no-brainer for the Baggies.
