The Danish international could be just what West Bromwich Albion are looking for.

According to a recent report from the Hull Daily Mail, Hull City are pushing ahead in a bid to sign Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer in an £8.5million deal this summer. But if the Danish giant is available for a cut-price fee, West Bromwich Albion should consider a move of their own.
Kjaer has long been linked with a move to England and at 28 he is at his peak and ready for the step up.
West Brom need to sign a long-term replacement for Gareth McAuley and Kjaer is the perfect option – a 66-capped international with skill in abundance whose arrival would not break the bank.
Baggies manager Tony Pulis knows a good defender when he sees one and if Kjaer could replicate his best form at The Hawthorns he could quickly become a new fan favourite.

The Dane is also used to playing in a variety of different countries, having already turned out in Germany, Italy, France, Turkey and his homeland, and a move to England is unlikely to faze him.
There are sure to be plenty of clubs interested in Kjaer if he does leave Fenerbahce this summer, especially if he is available for less than £10million, but West Brom need to think ahead and in Kjaer they could be signing a defender who would instantly buy into Pulis’s mentality and ensure that McAuley’s age is not a factor next season and beyond.
