The Chelsea forward is exactly the kind of striker West Bromwich Albion need to strengthen their ranks.

England's Tammy Abraham scores their fifth goal

While Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham has been in sensational form for loan club Bristol City this season – scoring 22 goals in 40 appearances to date – it seems unlikely that he will be a regular for Antonio Conte’s side as early as next season.

With that in mind, the Blues would be wise to send the 19-year-old on loan to another Premier League side to see what he can do in the top flight, and West Bromwich Albion would be the perfect short-term destination for him.

The Baggies benefited from a similar loan move involving Romelu Lukaku while he was still on the books at Stamford Bridge, and Abraham could have a similar impact if he maintains his prolific form from this season.

West Brom have been over reliant on Salomon Rondon this campaign, and Hal Robson-Kanu is never going to be prolific, meaning a player like Abraham is just what Tony Pulis needs to build on his good work at The Hawthorns.

It would be a move that suits all parties, and unless Chelsea are preparing to throw a curve ball and put Abraham into their first-team squad earlier than expected, West Brom should be at the front of the queue for a player who could score 20-plus goals every season for the next decade and beyond.
