West Bromwich Albion’s summer transfer window appears to have kicked into life.

Tony Pulis, Manager of West Bromwich Albion looks on prior to the Premier League match between Burnley and West Bromwich Albion at Turf Moor on August 19, 2017 in Burnley, England.

After months of frustration and little action, it appears that the West Brom board are ready to capture the imagination during the final days of the window, with the Daily Mail reporting that they are in advanced talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak on a season-long loan shortly after landing Oliver Burke on a permanent basis.

With Kieran Gibbs also being heavily linked with a Hawthorns switch by the Mail, it would appear that Tony Pulis will be able to reflect a lot more positively on the window than he would have been able to had the deadline come before the start of the campaign.

But perhaps getting deals for Krychowiak and Gibbs across the line should not signal the end of West Brom’s business before Thursday’s deadline.

The Daily Mirror recently reported that Swansea had joined a host of European heavyweights in the race to sign Bayern Munich starlet Renato Sanches on a season-long loan.

The Portuguese has struggled to hold down a place since arriving at the Allianz Arena, but is undoubtedly one of the most exciting talents in Europe currently.

And if Swansea are entering the race, then perhaps West Brom should also make their own move given that they have proved that they can lure big players to the club – with a loan move for Krychowiak seemingly close.

Like Krychowiak, it is difficult to imagine that a loan deal for Sanches would come cheap, but given his quality, signing him would arguably see the Baggies land one of the most impressive youngsters in the game.

With the deadline looming, it may be difficult to bring both men to the club at this late stage – but if they can get Krychowiak across the line with time to spare, perhaps entering the race to sign Sanches should be something the West Brom hierarchy consider.
