West Bromwich Albion could be set for a change of manager, and several Sheffield United fans are worried they might follow suit.

Fans arrive at the stadium prior to The Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round match between Sheffield United and Preston North End at Bramall Lane on January 27, 2018 in Sheffield, England.

Some Sheffield United supporters fear Chris Wilder could leave the club after another concerning interview from their manager on Monday.

Wilder laid into his players after Friday’s 1-0 defeat at Hull City, and wrote off the Blades’ chances of making the play-offs – despite being only two points outside the top six with a game in hand on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old had a full weekend to reflect on events at the KCOM Stadium, but stood by his original stance when questioned by BBC Radio Sheffield.

Sheffield United are currently in the midst of a power struggle between co-owners Kevin McCabe and Prince Abdullah Bin Mosa’ad Abdulaziz Al Saud, and after Wilder’s admission that “it would be good to know where the direction of the club is going”, Blades fans are putting two and two together.

Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…

Wilder has been the subject of interest from several clubs since leading Sheffield United – his boyhood side – back into the Championship last season.

And it is possible that the former non league boss could feature on West Brom’s list of potential appointments should Alan Pardew leave his post in the coming weeks and months.
