Will Allan Nyom have a part to play under Slaven Bilic as West Bromwich Albion look to escape the Championship?
Allan Nyom appears to have played his last game for West Bromwich Albion with the Express and Star reporting that he is ‘expected’ to be on the way out of The Hawthorns this summer.
Slaven Bilic was announced as the new manager of West Brom last week and he will now spend the remainder of the transfer window looking to build a squad in his own image with promotion back to the Premier League his main aim.
But Nyom is unlikely to be handed a fresh start under the Croatian, having played for La Liga outfit Leganes on loan during the 2018/19 season.
The 31-year-old has just 12 months left on his contract at West Brom and the Express and Star suggests that West Brom will now look to find a buyer as they plan to stop Nyom leaving on a free this time next year.
The Express and Star claim that the 17-time Cameroon international cost £3 million when he joined West Brom from Watford in August 2016 and it seems very unlikely that they will recoup much of that fee.
Nyom’s departure is likely to leave West Brom very short of options at right-back, however. Tosin Adarabioyo and Mason Holgate have gone while Craig Dawson is in talks to join Watford (Sky).
