West Bromwich Albion will be looking to build on their positive midweek result that lifted them out of the Premier League’s bottom three.
Alan Pardew will be hoping that his West Brom side’s performance from their trip to Anfield in midweek can become a turning point in their season after the disappointing defeat to Swansea last weekend.
The Baggies held Liverpool to a goalless draw on Wednesday to lift themselves out of the bottom three after falling in the previous night, but they face a difficult task trying to keep themselves from going back in the relegation zone in their next game.
Manchester United visit The Hawthorns on Saturday, and Pardew’s men will be hoping to put a further dent in Jose Mourinho side’s title bid – and it would be no surprise if the lineup is similar to the one that frustrated the Reds in midweek.
Pardew seemed to opt for something more like a 4-5-1 on Merseyside, and while that did not lead to many chances for the visitors, it also helped keep Liverpool at bay, so perhaps he will set up his team in a similar fashion against the Red Devils.
The one change that Pardew may make involves Sam Field coming back into the starting lineup. Field has been excellent lately, so he may perhaps replace James McClean on the left, with Grzegorz Krychowiak keeping his place in the middle after an extremely encouraging midweek performance.
Meanwhile, Salomon Rondon should keep his place leading the line after he received praise from Pardew following the stalemate, as reported by the Express and Star.
