West Bromwich Albion are said to have a “serious” interest in the Sheffield United goalkeeper.

West Bromwich Albion’s Simon Moore appears to have received a boost after Sheffield United brought in a potential replacement on trial.
Luke Steele, once a West Brom goalkeeper himself, was named on the bench for United’s friendly against Bradford City on Tuesday.
And it was Moore’s place seized by the 33-year-old, who left Bristol City at the end of last season.

Moore missed the Blades’ friendly against Maritimo last week with a quad problem, and there is every chance his absence is a continuation of that.
Nevertheless, the Sheffield Star describes West Brom as having a “serious” interest in the 28-year-old, who it adds could have his wages significantly increased by a move to the Hawthorns.

And while Moore is expected to be second choice, behind Sam Johnstone, if he leaves for the Baggies, he faces a similar problem at Bramall Lane, where Dean Henderson has arrived on a season-long loan from Manchester United.
