West Bromwich Albion battled well for a point against Everton last night.
West Brom boss Tony Pulis will be pleased with the way his side battled to a point away at Everton last night, which gives them a little confidence in the Premier League.
Here are our player ratings for West Brom’s stars based on the game last night.
Foster – 7
A very solid performance. He did everything asked of him at key times during the match.
Wisdom – 7
Possibly his best defensive performance for a while. He was solid in all aspects and looked lively when he did get forward.
McAuley – 6
Nothing special, nothing terrible. Did well to keep the physical presence of Romelu Lukaku out of harm’s way.
Lescott – 6
Conceded the penalty, which could have cost his side dear but otherwise had a decent game.
Baird – 7
Will be disappointed that he didn’t get forward more, but did a great job in terms of keeping Steven Naismith out of the game.
Brunt – 7
Worked hard on all defensive aspects of his game and was disruptive in front of the back four.
Yacob – 8
Man of the match for the Baggies. He took a lot of pressure, broke up the play well and passed effectively when West Brom won the ball back.
Morrison – 7
He had to perform more defensive duties than normal but he had the look of an extremely determined individual.
Gardner – 6
Tried to get forward which sometimes left pockets of space, but otherwise had a solid game.
Berahino – 7
Played well despite being shoved out on the left hand side where he’s arguably less effective.
Anichebe – 6
Unsurprisingly struggled to get into the game as he didn’t have much service but worked hard and chased shadows throughout the game.
Subs
Sessegnon – 6
Worked hard and injected some real pace into the team, which made them a threat on the counter.
Dorrans – N/A
Ideye – N/A
