Could West Bromwich Albion add the Middlesbrough man to their ranks.

According to bookmakers Ladbrokes, West Bromwich Albion are now evens to sign Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old spent this season at Middlesbrough but he was unable to help them maintain their top flight status, scoring nine goals in 36 Premier League games.
It was a half-decent return from the striker but it was not enough, with Aitor Karanka’s side struggling to find the net on a consistent basis, despite their resolute defence.

With Boro set for at least one season back in the Championship Negredo looks to be moving on, and he could be a very canny addition to Tony Pulis’s West Brom squad given his experience and innate talent in front of goal.
West Brom need additional fire power to supplement that of Salomon Rondon and Negredo knows the Premier League like the back of his hand having previously turned out for Manchester City.

It looks like being a busy summer at The Hawthorns and Negredo’s likely arrival could kick-start what West Brom’s fans will be hoping is a hugely successful few months off the field, before the new campaign begins in earnest.
West Ham United are currently 5/1 second favourites for Negredo, but the Baggies look like getting this one over the line sooner rather than later.
