West Bromwich Albion have penned a vital part of their midfield to a new two-year contract.

West Bromwich Albion have been handed a boost on Thursday with the news that key midfielder Claudio Yacob has signed a new two-year contract with the Midlands club.
The Argentine has been at the club since 2012 and has grown into quite the fan favourite with the Hawthorns faithful for his combative performances.
As reported by West Brom’s official website, Yacob expressed his delight to have secured a new contract with the Premier League club.
He said: “I’m pleased to sign a new deal with the club. It wasn’t a difficult decision because everyone working at the club, the fans and the players have all made me feel very comfortable since I’ve been here.

“Hopefully I can continue to play in the team. I’m happy.”
Despite scoring just the one goal throughout his tenure, Yacob has made 129 appearances for the club during which time he has established himself as an important part of the first-team squad.
He originally arrived at the Hawthorns as a free agent following his departure from Racing Club de Avellaneda, and his solitary goal for the Baggies came almost three years ago in a 1-1 draw with Arsenal.
He has played in each of his side’s six Premier League games so far this campaign, and he will aim to make an impact at the weekend when West Brom travel to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland in a crucial clash.
