West Bromwich Albion wanted to sign Sead Kolasinac during the summer and in January, but may be forced to pay for their lack of movement.

The Daily Mirror reported in November that West Brom wanted to sign summer target Sead Kolasinac in January after previously not wanting to pay £10 million for a player whose contract expires this summer.
With no deal done last month, it is perhaps fair to assume that the Baggies possibly held off making a move in the hope that they could pull off a better deal at the end of the campaign.
However, their apparent indecisiveness could be about to cost them if recent reports coming out of Germany are anything to go by.
According to a report from Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung earlier this month, Chelsea, Tottenham, Juventus and Inter Milan are all interested in signing the Schalke star, who has scored twice and contributed four assists in the Bundesliga this season.

Given the stature of the four clubs now chasing his signature, it will surely be incredibly difficult for West Brom to land the Bosnia and Herzegovina international, which would be a major disappointment to Baggies fans who would have been excited about the prospect of signing him.
Though there is little reason to suggest that Tony Pulis retains an interest in signing him anyway – apart from the fact that he has been on their radar during the last two windows – the fact that several of the continent’s heavyweights are now interested certainly suggests that he would have definitely added something to West Brom’s side, and that holding out for a better deal was a strategy that could be about to cost them dearly.
