Pulis signed a 12 month extension to his current contract with West Brom.
West Bromwich Albion legend John Wile believes that the Baggies have made a smart decision handing Tony Pulis a contract extension, the Express and Star reports.
The Express and Star reports that the former Crystal Palace boss has recently signed a 12 month extension to his current deal at the Hawthorns.

And while some supporters were not so pleased about the fresh contract given the style of play that Pulis encourages, Wile has insisted that the club have made the right decision and will be vindicated this season.
“Tony has shown he’s a very safe pair of hands,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star.
“He will certainly ensure that the club stays in the Premier League which is of vital importance.

“It’s not a two-year or a three-year deal, it’s another 12 months.
“For both parties, this is the best thing to do, it gives the manager a chance to get to know the new regime, and the new owners can get to know Pulis.”
In fairness to Pulis, although the style his teams often play is not the most attractive, it is clearly effective as he is yet to have suffered a relegation from the Premier League even though his sides have often been tipped to struggle.

West Brom’s current form may suggest that they are in for another unspectacular campaign, but it must be remembered that the ongoing situation regarding the ownership of the club appeared to have an impact on how much business Pulis could do in the summer.
But with that situation now resolved, and questions regarding Pulis’ future put to bed for the time-being, the club are surely in a much more stable position to go out and significantly strengthen in January and in the summer.
