Baggies goalkeeper Ben Foster spoke to the club’s official website after his side’s hard-fought 1-1 draw with Spurs, and described what a difficult afternoon he and his side faced.
Despite the Londoners dominating possession, and having more clear-cut chances than the hosts, Tony Pulis’ men will still feel disappointed not to have taken all three points, after conceding an 89th minute equaliser.
Foster, 33, spoke to wba.co.uk, and explained how dangerous Tottenham’s attack is:

“That was a busy one, we knew going in Tottenham were going to play that style. They didn’t disappoint but the way the game went we’re a little disappointed we didn’t get the three points. It was carnage, we knew what quality they have got and they have some very technically gifted players.”
The Baggies have surpassed most people’s expectations of them so far this season, with many pundits and fans predicting that Pulis’ side would struggle before the season began.
They have lost only two of their opening eight league games, however, and have been typically well-organised defensively, conceding just eight goals thus far – the joint fourth best record.

If Foster continues to produce the kind of form that helped keep Tottenham at bay for so long yesterday, who would bet against him gaining an England recall?
With the current competition, it is certainly not out of the realms of possibility, and should be something for Foster to aim for this season.
