Ben Foster has suggested that he has become a West Bromwich Albion fan despite supporting Tottenham Hotspur as a boy.

Ben Foster has insisted that he wants to finish his career at West Brom, and has become a Baggies supporters having previously been a Tottenham fan, the Express and Star reports.
The 34-year-old has undoubtedly enjoyed the best period of his career at the Hawthorns after previously trying to come through the ranks with Stoke City at the very start of his career and then at Manchester United following a move in 2005.
And despite beginning to reach the twilight of his career, Foster has suggested that he would love to be attached to the club for a decade if possible.
“I’m super-settled. This is my sixth season now so I would love to get to 10 years and go beyond that as well,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star.
“It’s a lovely club, it’s part of me now, it’s part of my family.”
It is clear that the former England international has absolutely no plans to finish his career anywhere else than with the Baggies. But perhaps he may have dreamt of playing somewhere else when he was a youngster, judging by the fact that he admitted that he was a Spurs fans growing up.
“I was a Tottenham fan actually so I had ups and downs,” he added. “But I’m a Baggies fan now.

“When I’m retired and grey and old I’ll always be a Baggies fan.”
Perhaps unfortunately for Foster, despite his tremendous displays – some against his boyhood club – Spurs fans may possibly remember the stopper best for being the man in the opposition goal when then-Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson scored from a free-kick from well inside his own half in a game against Watford.
But there is no doubt that Foster will be remembered for a lot more by West Brom fans and will be delighted that he hopes to remain with the club until he hangs up his gloves.
