West Bromwich Albion appear to have given up their pursuit of Parma winger Jonathan Biabiany after seeing several offers rejected.

Despite making efforts to land Parma man Jonathan Biabiany, West Brom seem ready to move on to other targets.

The Premier League side had been in talks with Parma for over a week, but they were unable to present an offer that the Ducali were sufficiently impressed by.

Parma aren’t keen to sell Biabiany, but the club’s finances dictate that they would have to listen to an offer if it were high enough.

According to Italian website ParmaLive.com, the Baggies were willing to up their original bid to close to £8 million, but Parma were still unwilling to budge.

The initial approach seemed to be closer to the £5 million mark, but Biabiany’s owners had been expected to demand something like £10 million.

Reports in the Daily Mail suggest that West Brom will now move on to West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis instead, who should be easier to land.

Sunderland came close to signing Frenchman Biabiany last summer but a deal fell through and he showed signs of his vast potential last season, increasing his value.

At the age of 26, many feel the best is still to come from speedy wide man Biabiany, who was tipped for the very top when he came to Italy in 2004 with Inter.
