The pair have both been trying to earn a contract at West Brom.
Momo Sissoko at Liverpool
West Bromwich Albion have signed just four players this summer, with Matt Phillips, Nacer Chadli, Allan Nyom and Hal Robson-Kanu all arriving – whilst Brendan Galloway has also joined on loan from Everton.
It was a poor transfer window that has recently seen reports of unrest from the Baggies boss Tony Pulis.
But the club are still looking at bringing a new face or two, with free agents on the agenda.
Marouane Chamakh
Two clear targets are former Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko and Arsenal and Crystal Palace old boy Marouane Chamakh.
Both players are currently out of contract, Chamakh departing Selhurst Park in the summer with Sissoko’s last club Shanghai Shenhua in China.
Both are being looked at and West Brom first-team coach Gerry Francis had this to say about the pair during an appearance on Sky Sports News HQ today (07/09/16):
“They’ve both been training. They played in a friendly at the weekend, both of them. Chamakh unfortunately got a rather bad gash on his shin but he’s ok, trained yesterday.
“We’ll obviously just have a look at the situation and see how it goes from there really.”

West Brom fans are not exactly over excited by the potential arrival of the unemployed pair at the Hawthorns, but West Brom find themselves short after a poor summer in the market.
But with talented youngsters in abundance at the club, many would like to see these talents given a chance instead of signing two former Premier League players.
