The West Bromwich Albion summer signing and boyhood Baggies continues to impress back at The Hawthorns for Slaven Bilic and co.

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Romaine Sawyers’ display as the Baggies ran out 4-2 winners against Cardiff City in Saturday’s Championship clash at The Hawthorns.
The 27-year-old, a boyhood West Brom fan, put in a superb display for Slaven Bilic and co, with a complete performance which not only featured his trademark flicks and touches – including one sublime reverse pass – but also a more dogged display as he fearlessly weighed into several 50-50s.
Sawyers also capped off his display with a goal late on for Albion, teammate Matheus Pereira putting him through for an injury-time fourth which made sure the Baggies moved top of the table ahead of Nottingham Forest on goal difference.
Here is what some West Brom fans said on Twitter regarding Sawyers’ display:
In July, Sawyers returned to the club where he came through the ranks, signing a three-year contract after being bought from Brentford – where he was captain – for an undisclosed fee reported to be £2.9 million (Express & Star).
Prior to his return to West Brom, Sawyers had joined the Bees from Walsall in 2016 and made 123 appearances for the Londoners, scoring eight goals.
