The Baggies winger was largely ineffective at The Hawthorns as West Brom were beaten by the Lions.

A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Oliver Burke’s performance in the 2-1 loss to Millwall in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
Charlie Austin opened the scoring for the Baggies in the ninth minute of Tuesday night’s match at The Hawthorns but Tom Bradshaw levelled for the Lions before the half-hour mark.
Slaven Bilic’s side did not have a good day at the office as Millwall found the winner through Aiden O’Brien, who scrambled the ball home from a corner in the 55th minute.
Burke has struggled to hold down a first-team place at West Brom since his move from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2017, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Celtic.
Against Millwall, the 22-year-old Tony Pulis signing put in a largely ineffective display and quite a few Baggies fans took to social media to discuss him in the aftermath of the defeat:
According to the Daily Mail, Burke is considering a move abroad and, with the European transfer window open until the start of next month and Tuesday night’s display coming under so much criticism, the ex-Nottingham Forest ace could well opt for a fresh start elsewhere.
