Claudio Yacob finally made his first appearance for Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon as Aitor Karanka’s side kept their excellent run of form intact with a 1-0 win over Sheffield United – and West Bromwich Albion fans have reacted.

Yacob, 31, left West Brom after the club’s relegation to the Championship on a free transfer in the summer, after his contract at the Hawthorns had expired.

Now, he is in direct competition for promotion from England’s second tier to the Premier League after joining Forest on a two-year deal in early September.

The two-time Argentina international made his debut on Saturday after two months of graft at the City Ground. The midfielder did not ave any kind of pre-season, as he looked for a new club.

But after his excellent display against Sheffield United on Saturday in which he partnered Algeria international Adlene Guedioura in the middle of the park, Forest fans are becoming excited to see more of the Argentine ace.

However, it led to West Brom fans reacting particularly envious over one of their former fan favourites, after he clocked up 175 appearances during his six-year spell with the Baggies. Fans are frustrated at failing to keep the midfielder.
