West Bromwich Albion have reportedly got to fend off interest from Tottenham Hotspur if they want to keep Rekeem Harper.
A number of West Brom fans have reacted to the reports from The Sun on Sunday (3/3; page 68) at the weekend which suggested that Tottenham want to sign Rekeem Harper in the summer.
Harper has enjoyed an impressive season. He has made 10 appearances in the Championship this term, and has often not looked out of place alongside a number of midfielders who boast bags of Premier League experience.
Unfortunately for the Baggies however, his future has a major question mark lingering over it. The Sun on Sunday (3/3; page 68) reports that he is out of contract at the Hawthorns at the end of the season and has all of the top six in the top flight looking at a potential approach.
The report added that it is Spurs who are currently leading the race to secure his signature, so perhaps he could be a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad next season.
And it is fair to say that a number of West Brom fans are quite livid about the club failing to agree a new contract with Harper given that he is arguably the Baggies’ brightest youngster.
The supporters fear that their chances of keeping Harper could now be slim with sides of Tottenham’s calibre monitoring his situation, and a number of other top Premier League clubs also waiting in the wings.
