West Bromwich Albion are reportedly considering a loan move for Crystal Palace defender Joel Ward.

A number of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports emerging from the Express and Star earlier this week which suggested that the Baggies have their eye on a potential loan deal for Crystal Palace’s Joel Ward.
Darren Moore’s men have made a mixed start to the new Championship season, with four points coming from their opening three games in the second tier.
A surprise defeat to Bolton was followed by a draw at Nottingham Forest. They notched up their first win of the campaign in a seven-goal thriller against Norwich City. They may be up and running, but six goals conceded in three games suggests that there is plenty of work to do before the loan window closes later this month.

The news appears to have gone down extremely positively amongst the West Brom fans on social media. Allan Nyom has struggled this term and endured an extremely difficult afternoon at Carrow Road at the weekend as Norwich put three past Sam Johnstone.
Ward would arrive at The Hawthorns with bags of Premier League experience under his belt, and at 28, he is hardly the kind of player that is looking to gradually wind down. And following Nyom’s display at the weekend, it appears that he would be an extremely popular addition to the squad if the Baggies could get something done.

Here is the best of the reaction to the reports…
