West Brom took the lead against League Two side Exeter after just two minutes when Saloman Rondon found the target.
The Baggies made it 2-0 on 25 minutes through Jay Rodriguez and secured a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of McClean against Exeter.
McClean has been on the books of West Brom since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Wigan Athletic for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1.5 million.

Meanwhile, West Brom manager Alan Pardew has said that McClean will not leave in the January transfer window.
Pardew told The Birmingham Mail: “We’ve had no bids – I don’t see me moving him on or him wanting to go. I don’t see that scenario.”
