The Baggies started Hal Robson-Kanu up front with usual first-choice forward Salomon Rondon on the bench and the Wales international failed to make a significant impact on the match.
Questions have been asked about the lack of support for West Brom’s forwards in recent weeks and that was evidenced again on Saturday.
Rondon has struggled while ploughing a lone furrow up front and the same can be said of Robson-Kanu against the Toffees.
The 27-year-old has had to make do with a bit-part role at The Hawthorns this season, coming off the bench more often than not in the league.
His only goal – and assist – came back in December when he was integral in West Brom’s 2-1 victory against Southampton, but that match aside he has done little to impress.
