West Bromwich Albion picked up a last-gasp point in their latest Championship clash.

A number of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Gareth Barry’s performance during the Baggies’ 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Friday night.
Darren Moore’s side missed the chance to move to within one point of the automatic-promotion spots in the Championship, but would have come away feeling extremely relieved with a draw.
The Baggies twice came from behind, and got fortunate with Jay Rodriguez’s stoppage-time equaliser as the forward put the ball in with his hand – though he did appear to be expecting the goal to be ruled out as it trickled across the line.
It was a decent result against a Villa side that had scored 15 goals in their previous four games, and perhaps one of the reasons they were able to secure a point was the display from Barry, who was making only his fourth start of the campaign.

The 37-year-old was given the difficult task of trying to keep Conor Hourihane, John McGinn and Jack Grealish quiet. And while Villa had plenty of success in the middle of the park, the veteran did impress.
Whoscored shows that Barry boasted the second-highest pass success rate in the West Brom team, playing two key passes. No Baggies player won more challenges than the three that the former Villa man won.

And many of the supporters on social media were full of praise for the midfielder. He has not won all of the fans over during his time with the club – and some were still critical of his performance – but many thought that he made the most of his opportunity.
Here is what some of the West Brom fans made of Barry’s display in the draw…
