West Bromwich Albion picked up an impressive win in their latest Championship clash.

A number of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to praise Ahmed Hegazi after the Baggies’ win over Stoke City on Saturday, with many suggesting that the centre-back surprised them with his display.
It has been a mixed start to life in the Championship for Darren Moore’s men. They went into the clash with the Potters having taken seven points from their opening five games in the league.
But they were able to go into the international break on a high as two superb goals from Dwight Gayle helped West Brom on their way to a 2-1 win. Eric Pieters responded for the visitors late on, but the Baggies secured the three points.
There were several impressive performances from Moore’s men, but one of the players who perhaps impressed the fans the most was Hegazi, who has seemingly struggled to adapt to life in the second tier.

Hegazi was often excellent during his first year at The Hawthorns, but has not managed to replicate that form following relegation. And that prompted many of the supporters to criticise the defender in the opening weeks of the season.
The fans were not getting away with his performance against Gary Rowett’s side at the weekend, but many were left believing that he has potentially turned a corner and could be about to rediscover some better form.
