West Bromwich Albion sold Tyler Roberts to Leeds United in January 2018, and he came back to haunt the Baggies on Friday.

West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Tyler Roberts’s display during Leeds United’s emphatic 4-0 win against the Baggies at Elland Road on Friday night.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side got their promotion push back on track with arguably their most impressive performance of the campaign. Pablo Hernandez found the top corner in the opening seconds, Patrick Bamford bagged a brace and Gjanni Alioski tapped home Leeds’s fourth in the final moments of the contest.
He may not have got onto the scoresheet, but Roberts was exceptional against the side that sold him to Leeds during the 2018 January transfer window.
The youngster had come in for a lot of criticism following the Whites’ 1-0 defeat to QPR in midweek. But his response was outstanding as he provided two sublime assists.

He produced a wonderful flick to play Bamford in for his first, before the pair linked up again for Leeds’s third. Roberts went on a brilliant run before sliding the ball into the striker, whose deflected effort beat Sam Johnstone at his near post.
The fact that Roberts was the man of the match made the defeat all the more difficult for the Baggies supporters to stomach. As reported by BBC Sport, West Brom sold the forward for around £2.5 million 13 months ago – and based on Friday’s performance, Leeds have pulled off an incredible bargain.

Here is how some of the Baggies fans reacted to Roberts’s performance…
