West Bromwich Albion fans were not impressed by what they saw from the Venezuelan in the defeat to Southampton.

West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment at the performance of Salomon Rondon during the Baggies’ defeat to Southampton.

Tony Pulis’ men’s hopes of finishing in eighth in the Premier League this season suffered a significant blow as the Saints moved to within four points of West Brom with two games in hand following their 1-0 victory at the Hawthorns.

However, the scoreline does not tell the whole story by any means as the Baggies made Claude Puel’s men earn the three points with a late onslaught which drew the best out of Southampton stopper Fraser Forster.

Despite that however, West Brom fans were left extremely frustrated by the display, and current form, of Rondon. Although the 27-year-old remains the club’s top goalscorer in the league this term, he has not added to his seven goals for the campaign since mid-December despite playing in 17 games since.

And while he had opportunities to end that recent drought during the clash with the Saints, he passed up several chances and struggled to make any impact on the game.

The display has prompted the West Brom fans to take to social media to criticise the Venezuelan’s form, and to urge Pulis to go out and get another striker this summer given their lack of options up front.

Here is the best of the reaction…
