Roy Hodgson has been linked with a return to former club West Bromwich Albion.

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is under increasing pressure – and The Mirror report that the club could look to re-appoint former boss Roy Hodgson.
Pulis has been in the job for almost two years now having arrived as Alan Irvine’s replacement back in January 2015, yet despite keeping the club in the Premier League twice, fans aren’t so keen on his style of football.
The Welshman plays a negative, defensive brand that, whilst it makes West Brom hard to beat and ensures their survival every year, also restricts attacking play and limits excitement for the paying fans.

After a frustrating transfer window, Baggies boss Pulis finds himself under pressure, having taken four points from the opening three games of the new Premier League season, scoring just twice so far.
BBC Sport reported earlier this week that Pulis won’t resign from his post despite growing discontent at The Hawthorns, but The Mirror suggest that West Brom are making contingency plans after an approach was made to Roy Hodgson.

Hodgson, 69, finds his career in tatters after his England side were dumped out of Euro 2016 by Iceland this summer, yet after he was sacked by Liverpool in 2011, West Brom offered him a chance to rebuild himself.
Hodgson’s impressive work at The Hawthorns meant he eventually landed the England job, and he could now be offered another chance to resurrect his career by heading back to West Brom.
It’s claimed that West Brom have contacted Hodgson with a view to replacing Pulis should he leave, but Hodgson isn’t believed to be keen on a return – and fans have been taking to Twitter to discuss the situation today.

Many fans believe that Hodgson would be a superb replacement for Pulis, and think he is the man to steady the ship this season as well as bring a more attractive brand of football back to the club.
Others just don’t think Hodgson will have the chance to go back as Pulis won’t leave, but retain hope that they will see their former manager back at The Hawthorns before he retires.
