West Brom striker Saido Berahino once again failed to secure a move away from the club in the transfer window.

The former England Under-21 international’s future has been uncertain ever since the club rejected a Tottenham Hotspur bid for the player in 2015 – with Berahino stating on Twitter that he would never play for the club again under chairman Jeremy Peace.

And although the 23-year-old did eventually continue playing for the Baggies, his form dipped considerably as he only managed four Premier League goals last season.

But now with the striker’s contract due to expire next summer, the Birmingham Mail reports that he is looking at a way to guarantee a move away from the Hawthorns by signing a pre-contract with a foreign club before returning to England on loan next summer.

Should Berahino opt for this sort of move, he will be allowed to leave on a free and West Brom would find themselves sorely out of pocket as they wouldn’t even be entitled to the same compensation that they would be if the forward were to move to a Premier League side.

In fact, the Baggies would likely receive less than £1 million for a player who has been at the club since the age of 11.

Needless to say, fan’s are becoming fed up with Berahino’s antics – here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
