West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in Brentford striker Neal Maupay this summer.

A number of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the Express and Star suggesting that the Baggies are one of the sides interested in signing Neal Maupay – and it appears that few of the supporters are holding their breath regarding their chances of getting a deal done.
Slaven Bilic desperately needs to strengthen his striker options this summer. Dwight Gayle has returned to Newcastle, Jay Rodriguez has joined Burnley and the Express and Star suggested that Salomon Rondon is set to leave the Hawthorns.
And one of the goalscorers that Bilic is reportedly hoping to bring in is Maupay, with the Express and Star reporting that West Brom are rivalling Sheffield United and Aston Villa for the Brentford star.
West London Sport claimed earlier this month that the Bees want at least £20 million for the Frenchman, who scored 22 goals in the Championship last season.

And it is largely because of that asking price that many West Brom fans on social media believe that their side has virtually no chance of getting Maupay through the door this summer.
Maupay is clearly an outstanding talent and would be a sensational signing for any Championship side. But the Baggies fans are seriously doubtful that their club have any plans to break the bank for the forward during this window.

Here is how some of the supporters reacted to the reports…
