West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in Everton defender Mason Holgate.

A number of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from the Express and Star on Monday suggesting that the Baggies would be keen to take Mason Holgate back on loan, and are waiting for Everton to make a decision on the defender’s future.
Slaven Bilic’s men are stepping up their intent in the transfer market as they look to make up for lost time. Kenneth Zohore and Semi Ajayi have arrived on permanent deals in the last seven days, and the Express and Star reports that a fee has been agreed with Queens Park Rangers for Darnell Furlong.
It appears that unlikely that West Brom will be done strengthening their ranks at the back once they complete a deal for the right-back, with the Express and Star adding that Holgate remains on the club’s radar.
Holgate spent the second-half of last season on loan at the Hawthorns, and helped the Baggies secure a play-off spot. While there was some disappointment that the club could not make their second tier stay a brief one, the 22-year-old was one of the players who did impress the supporters.

The defender made 21 appearances, scoring once and providing four assists. He predominantly played at right-back, but could bolster West Brom’s options at the heart of the defence, especially with Furlong seemingly close to joining.
It is no surprise that plenty of Baggies fans are delighted to see the youngster linked with a return to the Hawthorns this summer. It is clear that the supporters believe that he could be a very good addition, and are now hoping that the Toffees decide that they are prepared to let him go.
