West Bromwich Albion fans are worried about Leeds defender Charlie Taylor.

West Bromwich Albion need to sign a left-back this summer and Charlie Taylor is high on their list.

The Telegraph reported last week that the Baggies have been in touch with Taylor’s agent, and that’s where the defender’s week seemed to begin to unravel.

Instead of signing off on a high at Leeds and waving goodbye on their last game of the season, Taylor chose not to be involved at all.

Head coach Garry Monk told BBC Radio Leeds that Taylor refused to play for the club against Wigan, and was not even named on the bench.

Baggies manager Tony Pulis admitted he was keen to sign Taylor, but was considering his options as he is put off by the fact the club will have to pay via a tribunal due to the defender’s expiring contract and the fact he came through Leeds’ academy, reported The Express and Star.

Taylor’s decision to refuse to play appears to have been prompted by his agent rather than West Brom, and it is unclear how Tony Pulis will view his decision to strike.

West Brom supporters are feeling a bit uneasy about his potential signing all of a sudden, and have been voicing their concerns on Twitter.
